Hi, I’m Alex. I build software for businesses.

I’m Alex Swan, a software developer in Adelaide, SA. I build custom software, apps and websites. I build them fast. Apps cover iPhone, Android and Windows.

I started Handcoded because a business should be able to get software that’s made properly, without an agency markup or being passed between people.

When you work with me, you work with the person who plans it, designs it, builds it and looks after it.

Custom, not templated.

The result is shaped around your business, not a theme someone else already used.

Honest advice, even when it means less work for me.

If a spreadsheet, a plugin or doing nothing is the better answer, I’ll say so.

Yours to keep.

Code, accounts and domains stay in your name. No lock-in.

Here after launch.

I don’t disappear on launch day. When something needs to change, you call the person who built it.

How this site was built

HTML and CSS on Astro, set in Archivo, Geist and Geist Mono. The fonts are self-hosted. No page builders and no trackers.
